Seam over a dishwasher?

We are just about to cut an L Kitchen with a 3-sided island (http://maplered.com) (penninsula) and (http://maplered.com) the current seam location is in the corner where the sink piece and (http://maplered.com) the island (http://maplered.com) meet. The problem is that the grain of the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) will clash if we keep the seam in its current location because the Slabs (http://www.VerdeUbatuba.com) are not big enough. We could move the seam but this move would put it over the dishwasher. Has anyone done this before? Until recently all our seams have been in the sink. We started about the first of the year to get away from this and (http://maplered.com) have been having success but have always avoided putting the seam over the dishwasher. Even before when we had to go outside the sink we would avoid the dishwasher. Don't know the reasons why it's just the way I have been taught. Now all the people that have been here before me are gone (ie. fired or quit), and (http://maplered.com) from all the things I've learned from this site and (http://maplered.com) on my own, I am starting to question what they really knew.
